How the Club Works

The Breakfast Club of Gainesville, Florida, (formed in 1995) is a business referrals organization. Almost all members are business owners, or represent a company. The goal of the club is to provide a casual, relaxed atmosphere in which professionals from every field can get to know one another. The result is that members feel comfortable giving tips, leads, endorsements, and referrals to each other as well as using each others services.

Among the unique features of the Club:

  • Memberships are awarded to individuals, not companies
  • Membership is by invitation [ How to Visit and Join ]
  • Members are awarded exclusive business categories to avoid competition among members
  • Pre-printed referral slips are used to document the business leads members give each other.
  • Elected volunteer officers and directors coordinate club activities and administer club policies
  • Meetings have an established format. Time is allotted for networking, breakfast, and a 1-hour program. The program generally includes announcements, a guest speaker presentation, and a brief promotional announcement by each member present.
  • A buffet-style breakfast for each meeting.
